Barry was very handy and built many speed boats, a truck camper, a garage (with the help of his brother Bob and family), and a basement development.  He also enjoyed fishing, camping and for many years travelled to northern Saskatchewan on an annual fishing trip with his brothers and brother in-law Ken Scott.  Barry and Marg also enjoyed cruising with a trips to the Panama Canal, Alaska, China, and Europe to St. Petersburg being their favourites.

He will be remembered by all for breaking out into his modified version “Bony Maronie” mixed with “Trasfusion” by Nervous Norvus on a regular basis throughout visits.
