It is with immense sorrow and heavy hearts that we inform the passing of Gurmit Singh on April 2nd, 2024 at the venerable age of 88 years. Born to Father Kartar Singh and Mother Hardev Kaur on January 4, 1936, Gurmit Singh led a life marked by resilience and hope, even as he bravely faced the challenges of Congestive Heart Failure.
A devoted husband to Hardish Kaur, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, his guidance and love shaped the lives of those around him in the most positive ways. He found joy in the simplest of moments, teaching us the value of appreciating the beauty in everyday life. His stories, filled with rich experiences and lessons, will continue to inspire and guide us.
As we come together to celebrate his life, we honor his memory by embodying the values he lived by. Gurmit Singh Nijjar’s spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with the light of his wisdom and love. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and relatives but never forgotten, as his legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਜੀ ਆਪ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਗ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਿੱਝਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੁਵਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਭੋਗਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ 2 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2024 ਨੂੰ 88 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਭੋਗ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 4 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1936 ਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਬੀਬੀ ਹਰਦੇਵ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਇਆ। ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਰਟ ਫੇਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਬੜੀ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇੱਕ ਜਿੰਮੇਦਾਰ ਪਤੀ, ਭਰਾ, ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ, ਦਾਦਾ ਜੀ, ਨਾਨਾ ਜੀ , ਪੜਨਾਨਾ ਜੀ , ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤਾਇਆ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਮੀਰ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਜਰਬੇ ਸਿਖਿੱਆਵਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
