May 29, 1985 – September 27, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Harcharan Singh Narang, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend passed away at the age of thirty-seven on Tuesday September 27, 2022.  Charn was born to Nachhattar Singh Narang and Laj Wanti Kaur Narang in Merritt, B.C.  Charn is survived by his five children, Kiran, Keisha-Nicole, Kushalin, Kaliyah and Khamari as well as by his four siblings, Debinder, Rita (Deon), Kuldeep (Naomi) and Pretum (Mandeep) along with his nieces and nephews, Alexa, Ryanne, Lauren, Serena, Tyler, Aniya and Arjun. 

Charn was at his happiest when he was creating memories with his kiddos, from playing video games, climbing, playing outside and going for ice-cream.  Charn was passionate about climbing, hiking, riding and playing his guitar.  Charn found solace and support from his community, never hesitant to ask for help or lend a helping hand.  We all know Charn to be devoted to his family and put their needs and happiness before his own.  He had the ability to make each person feel like they were the most special and important person in his life.

The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff at the Foothills Medical Centre.

A memorial service will be held at Country Hills Crematorium & Funeral Services (11995 16 St NE, Calgary) on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 3:00pm and will be followed by a service at the Gurdwara Dashmesh Culture Centre (135 Martindale Blvd NE, Calgary).
