Hari Singh Sihota, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 24th, 1928 in Bara Pind village, District Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He was happily married to Kuldeep Kaur Sihota and lived in Bara Pind until 1980, when he relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Hari’s life was full of hard work, love, and happiness. Despite moving to a new country, which posed certain challenges, he quickly adapted and enjoyed spending his days with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. When he was not busy watching The Price is Right or talking with his friends at the Gurdwara, he enjoyed spending time with extended family and sharing past stories. Those who heard these past stories were often shocked at the amount of detail he remembered – even when he was in his 90’s.

His strong work ethic inspired those fortunate enough to know him. Everyone was naturally drawn to his laughter, kindness, and one-of-a-kind sense of humour. Hari lived a long, happy, and fulfilling life. He will be greatly missed by all.
