Mr. James “Jerry” Jerome Wah

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry on January 17, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta. Jerry was born on May 5, 1942 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

Jerry loved his family and friends very much and they were everything to him. He had a kind heart, loved deeply and was a gracious man. His smile, laugh and humor will always be remembered. Jerry worked hard and enjoyed every job he did. He was very proud of the world class North American polo field that he helped maintain for many years until his retirement. He also loved the sun and would drive long distances to get to the warm desert air.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ruther and Marnie and all the team at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for the care and support of Jerry and his family. We know the sun will be forever shining on you and we love and miss you very much.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Lucia (Lucy), his sons Jim (Michelle), David (Lisa), and daughter Tracey (Archie) and grandchildren Dana, (Frankie) and Dani (Jodh). His sister Lil Knowler of Trail, BC and brother Greg (Teresa) Wah of Calgary, AB.

Jerry will also be remembered with much love from his cousins Marie and Barb Gee, Don, Ernie and Fred Wah, Glenda Steedman, Ken Yee, Gladys Prysiazniuk, Pat Freschi, Nan Hospes and numerous family members whom he was very close to.

Jerry was predeceased by his father Jimmy Wah and his first loving wife Janet.
