MAY 26, 1944 – JUNE 2, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vernon Anthony Mah on June 2, 2023.
Vernon was born on May 26, 1944 in Prince Albert, SK. He spent a large part of his childhood in Hong Kong, later returning to Canada to meet the love of his life Gladys while living in Moose Jaw, SK. Vernon and Gladys would eventually make their way to Calgary, were married in 1966 and Calgary became their permanent home together. Vernon worked for Con-Force Structures from 1964 to 2007 and in his retirement years he enjoyed his days spent with Gladys until her passing in 2021.
Vernon is survived by his mother Pauline, brother James (Heather), sisters Sandra and Rose (Dick), half-brother Ed (Vivian) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Gladys, father Kim and sister Vivian.
In lieu of a service and flowers, Vernon’s wishes were for family and friends to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
