On December 24^th, 2023, the matriarch of our family, Amar Kaur Parmar, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at the Foothills Medical Centre.

She was born November 2^nd, 1931 in Multan, undivided Punjab (Pakistan) to Lachman Singh & Naranjan Kaur, along with three brothers and four sisters. She was married to the late Joginder Singh Parmar (deceased 2009) for 63 years. They moved to Canada on July 24^th, 1986. Since then, Amar called Calgary home and spent her years raising her many grandchildren.

Her legacy will be carried on by her three children (Sukhpal Singh Parmar, Nirmal Kaur Doad and Nirmal Singh Parmar), six grandchildren (Jaspreet, Gurjinder, Gurjit, Manvir, Amandeep & Navjot), and two great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Her generous, kind, loving soul will live in forever in our hearts and memories. As we mourn the loss of Amar, let us also celebrate the richness of her life and the profound impact she had on each of us. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration as we remember the love, joy, and wisdom she shared with us all.
