Mohinder Kaur Gahir

It is with great sadness that the family of Mohinder Gahir of Calgary, AB announce her passing on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the age of 79 years.

Mohinder was born in India on March 28, 1944. She emigrated from Punjab to Canada in 2001. She worked at Minhas Furniture House and retired in 2005. She was a proud member of the Senior Society and the Women Culture Association. Mohinder enjoyed crocheting and making scarves for others. She loved singing folk songs as it offered nostalgia and allowed her to reconnect. She found pleasure in gardening and providing her kids with homegrown veggies. She was a family oriented individual and will always be remembered by her loved ones.

Mohinder Gahir is survived by her husband Gurdeep Gahir, her daughter, Iqbal; her three sons, Ranjit, Narinderjit, and Navtej; daughters-in-law, Mandeep, Gurdeep, and Rajwant; her son in-law Ranjit; her eight grandchildren, Aman, Tanvir, Simran, Kirandeep, Swaraj Pal, Harjyot, Mejor, and Akashdeep. Mohinder is predeceased by her mother, Swaran Kaur, and her father, Santa Singh.
