Audrey and family, Marilyn & I send our sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. Your mother and my mother (sisters) were rocks in our family who always provided great guidance as we grew up together. They were the glue that kept the families together. Many Christmas’s, Thanksgiving’s, camping trips, etc. were enjoyed together. Of course Uncle John was always there to greet the kids with Candy. (later known to many as the ‘Candy Man’)
I remember one particular time, when I lived with your family for a year when I was 18. At that time I was dating Brenda and she broke up with me. I was devastated. Your mother sat with me and calmed me down as we talked about life. One of many discussions I will always remember and be grateful for. I also remember it was your mom and dad who travelled to Saskatoon to watch me play hockey in the Canadian Winter Games. The arena’s were packed but I was always looking up and so proud to see them in the stands watching me.
Your mother and father played a pivotal role in my life.
In later years while living in Ontario I was always excited and happy to bring my wife and daughter back home for a visit with them.
Rest in Peace Aunt Del.
Forever loved and remembered by Greg, Marilyn & Kimberly
