It is with great sadness that the family of Nasib Kaur Dhamrait of Calgary, Alberta announce her passing on August 31, 2024 at the age of 76 years.

Nasib was born in Phagwara, Punjab, India on February 13, 1948. She immigrated from Rurki Khas, Punjab to Calgary in 1997. She worked at CANADREAM from 1999 and retired in June 2008. She had a passion for cooking and making sure everyone who comes and leaves the house would have a full stomach and be happy in her presence.

Nasib enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, gardening, tailoring, shopping, and devoting her time to the Gurdwara Sahib.

Nasib is survived by her husband, Darshan Singh Dhamrait. Nasib and Darshan created a loving home for their four children: Baljinder Kaur(Rajinder), Ranbir Kaur(Sukhpal), Parmjit Kaur(Barinder), and Gurdeep Singh(Aman). Her six grandchildren Happy(Shy), Raman, Amana, Himmat, Rayna and Jiya, and one great grandchild, Navaan.

Her resilient spirit will forever leave a lasting influence to all who knew her and she will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
