Norma Mendoza Arrieta, 83, was gracefully and lovingly taken by our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Norma was born on February 16, 1942 to Manuel and Clara Mendoza in Paombong, Bulacan, Philippines. She married Antonio Arrieta on January 10, 1970 and had two children: Ariel Arrieta and Victoria Arrieta Valdez. By July 2010, Norma migrated to Calgary, Alberta with her husband Antonio to join with their two children and grandchildren.
Norma has always had a mild-mannered personality, who tends to be reserved and prefers to speak less, which earned her everyone’s respect. She is imbued with a benevolent and forgiving personality often exhibiting higher levels of empathy and understanding, allowing her to be patient when faced with difficult situations.
Norma is survived by her two children: Ariel (wife Vena Arrieta) and Victoria (husband Jun Valdez); and two grandchildren: Albert and Aaron. Norma is also survived by her sister, Lydia Untalan.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Clara; and husband, Antonio.
