Rosalind Joyce Tai Hook, of Rocky View County, AB (formerly Edmonton), passed away on December 28, 2019 in Calgary at the age of 69 years. Rosalind was born in Viking, AB to Maude and Rolland Sarasin in 1950. Graduating Highschool in Riley, AB, she went on to receive honors from the Edmonton Career College in 1986 with diplomas in accounting and micro-computers. She married Husband, Wayne in 1990 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rosalind is survived by her loving husband Wayne Tai Hook; her daughter Valerie (David) Wright and son Michael Alves; Step Daughters Jackie Green, Melinda-Lee (Ernest “DD”) Welch and Deborah Stewart all of California; brothers and sisters Ruth (Vic) of Kamloops, Carolyn (Kerry) of Ohaton, Rolland of Edmonton, Marvin (Linda) of Prince George;Grandchildren Tammy (Kalvin) Temple, Andrew (Megan) Kennedy, Nicolette Kennedy, Jo-Anna (Nick) Morris, Shereece Welch, Delontay Welch, Sherae Welch, Iwalei Stewart, Kaenalei Stewart; great-Grandchildren, Aria Kennedy, Bodi Morris, Dominique Morris, Dalani “Pua” ; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews all over Canada, the United States and Hawaii. Rosalind is predeceased by her daughter Sandra (Tammy) of Drumheller; sisters Irena Sarasin of Lethbridge and Elizabeth Lister of Edmonton and brothers William Sarasin of Maui, Hawaii, Thomas Sarasin of Regina and Arthur Sarasin of Calgary. The family of Rosalind wish to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Mark Evans and all the remarkable staff at Dulcina Hospice, Our incredible family doctor Dr. Natasha Hirawan, of Airdrie, Dr. Desiree Hao, her nurse Cheyanne and the staff at the Tom Baker, as well as the Caring and exceptionally friendly staff of Airdrie Homecare for the weekly care given to Rosalind. ? A Celebration of Rosalind’s life will be held at 2:00pm, on Friday January 10, 2020 at Country Hills Crematorium (11995 16th Street NE, Calgary. Memorial donations in Rosalind’s name may be made directly to the Dulcina Hospice Volunteer Program (110 Evans Park Manor, Calgary, T3P 0B1) or Victoria’s Quilts (Victoria’s Quilts Canada, PO Box 90008, Aidrie, Alberta, T4B 3K0).
