Russell Alexander Mitchell

Russell Mitchell of Calgary passed away unexpectedly after heart surgery at the Foothills Hospital Calgary Alberta. Russell is lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years Maxine as well as his son Andrew (Ariane) of Airdrie and Chelsea (currently in school in North Vancouver) as well as his sister May Mitchell of Pointe Claire, Quebec. He is predeceased by his parents Alex and Lillian Mitchell. Russell was born in Montreal and grew up in Pointe Claire. He came to Calgary in 1976 met Maxine in 1990 and got married in 1993. They enjoyed travelling both as a couple and then as a family. His belief was that a life well travelled is a life well lived. He lived life in the present while planning for the future but did not put things off for “someday” He will be truly missed by all those who loved him.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 3:00pm at Country Hills Crematorium, 11995 16 St NE.
