Ruxmaniben Hindocha, lovingly known as Moti Mummy, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 82 on January 27, 2024 at 7:00 am. Among her many attributes, she was a loving wife, steadfast sibling, hardworking mother, and selfless grandmother. She was born on June 12, 1942 in Kakamega, Kenya, to the late Laxmidas and late Lilavantiben Pau, and was the eldest of five siblings. In 1960, she married the late Jinalal Hindocha in Uganda, and the two immigrated to India in 1972 with their beloved son, Sunil. With only a few belongings to their name, their journey demonstrated immeasurable determination, willpower, and faith. After spending much of their married life in Ambala Cantonment and Chikhodra, they eventually settled in Baroda to dedicate their life to their son and daughter-in-law, Neeta, and two grandsons, Amit and Ankit. Never once did Ruxmaniben falter in demonstrating her love for her family, eventually immigrating across the world to Canada in 2013 to be with them. During her time in Canada, her family created many fond memories, shared numerous laughs, and strengthened their unbreakable bond.
She is survived by her son, Sunil, daughter-in-law, Neeta, two grandsons, Amit and Ankit, and granddaughter-in-law, Nisha. Ruxmaniben was and continues to be, a symbol of unfaltering love, sacrifice, and strength, and she will forever remain in our hearts. We ask for your blessings and prayers for our dearest Moti Mummy, may she rest in eternal peace. Jai Gurudev, Jai Mataji.
