February 10, 1945 – May 13, 2025
Santokh Kaur Virdi lived a life grounded in love, devotion, and quiet strength. She passed away peacefully with family by her side, leaving behind a legacy of care, resilience, and deep-rooted values.
Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Santokh Kaur immigrated to Canada with her family, carrying with her the traditions, stories, and strength of a generation that shaped the lives of those around them. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth was felt in the food she lovingly prepared, the steady support she offered, and the gentle wisdom she shared.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ranjit Singh Virdi, and her five children: Bhupinder Kaur Matharoo (Rachhpal Singh Matharoo), Kawal Kaur Bara (Surjit Singh Bara), Sarbjit Singh Virdi (Aman Kaur Virdi), Davinder Kaur Unhi (Sukhwinder Singh Ubhi), and Baljit Kaur Kehal (Pradeep Singh Kehal). She is also lovingly remembered by her eleven grandchildren, who were the joy of her heart.
Santokh Kaur taught her family the power of humility, hard work, and unconditional love. Her presence was a constant source of comfort, her words a guiding light, and her home a place of welcome and warmth.
We will miss her dearly, but we carry her in our hearts and in the lessons she gifted us. May her soul find peace and rest surrounded by the same love she gave so generously in life.
