Stanislaw Zygmunt Kulikowski

Stanislaw Zygmunt Kulikowski, 72, passed away quietly in his Cochrane home, on the morning of December 12, 2021.

Stanislaw (who also went by Stan) or Zygmunt as he was frequently called by his loving wife of 42 years Elzbieta & his close friends and family, was born in Bialystok, Poland on May 2nd, 1949.

Stanislaw was no ordinary man. Destined for great things, he dreamed big, which finally brought him to Canada in 1988 together with his twin teenage sons Darek & Robert. A short time later Elzbieta and their two daughters Katarzyna & Izabela joined him.

Stanislaw found great comfort in Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Church which gave him the start he needed to support his family and to eventually start his own company – Vispol Projects. His strong Catholic upbringing made him a regular at Sunday Mass which also made it possible for him to do what he loved doing best, meeting people & socializing. Over the years, he formed many close friendships while maintaining old childhood ones, which he nurtured until his final days.

A well-loved and respected man, Stanislaw had an amazing way with people. He had the ability to draw people towards him with his infectious laugh and outgoing nature. Stanislaw’s ‘kind face’ and smile lit up a room. He was captivating to listen to and intriguing to talk to. Some might say he was their greatest teacher. He knew something about everything. He was honest, respectful, caring, helpful, selfless, incredibly generous and had a tremendous heart & passion for life. These qualities were especially evident in the way he cared for his beloved family.

W daleką podróż zabrał Cię Bóg,

Jedną, jedyną nadzieję nam dając,

Że kiedyś przekroczą też niebios próg,

Ci, którzy tutaj w bólu zostają..
