Susan Irene Tinkler (Way) born August 23rd, 1950 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 4th at the age of 71. She is survived by her four children; Viki Hemmaway (Kyle), Errin Baker, Leigh Tinkler, Alec Tinkler (Allison), her sisters Randa Walker and Elizabeth Delmo, her nephew Gord and her grandchildren: Jaxon, Alexis, Izabella, Paige, Wyatt, Nixon, Mason and Aubrey. Susan was born and raised in Rawdon QC and moved to Calgary in 1982. Susan loved to cook and bake. Those skills employed her in the Calgary school district for many years. When her children were growing up her home was welcome place for all and was an influence on how those who spent time at her house raise their children today. Susan supported her children in all of the activities they participated in from Girl Guides to hockey and baseball.
Travelling and adventure were a big part of Susan life, she never turned down the chance to road trip or take a vacation. She enjoyed trying new things, meeting people and living life to the fullest.
In her later years, she loved spending time with her dear friends and found great joy in her grandchildren.
Susan’s smile, warm heart and open arms will be deeply missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
