It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Teerth Singh Dhaliwal on January 19, 2025. Born on July 30, 1968, in New Delhi, India, to Bhagwan Singh and Gurcharn Kaur Dhaliwal, Teerth was the youngest of four siblings.
As a young child, Teerth immigrated to Canada with his family. He grew up in Edmonton, where he earned his degree in dentistry and began building a life grounded in love, faith, and service. Teerth married his soulmate, Sukhjit, and together they raised two wonderful children, Arjan and Arianna, nurturing them with pride in Gursikhi values and principles that he lived by every day.
Teerth eventually settled in Calgary, where he ran a thriving dental practice. Known for his warmth, dedication, and generosity, he was deeply cherished by his patients, friends, and family. His kindness and unwavering love left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Teerth’s untimely passing is an immeasurable loss, and he will be profoundly missed. His legacy of love, compassion, and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to share in his life. We will move forward dedicating our lives to following Teerth’s example of unwavering dedication and selflessness.

My name is Hor-Tak Zung, and I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Teerth ever since grade one. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. We were good friends with many shared experiences through grade school, university, and dental school. I only have good memories of our time together, and I find myself lucky to have known him.
Although I believe Teerth was the youngest sibling, he always had a maturity about him making him seem like the oldest brother. I remember he would do his best to help his family members out during tough times and good. He was empathetic, intelligent, and had a great sense of humour that would always make me smile. The world was a better place with him in it, and he will be sorely missed. I find myself fortunate to have had him as a close friend who seemed more like a family member. You truly do not encounter many people like that in a lifetime.
If I may speak for Teerth as I knew him well, I honestly think that he would not want us to be sad during this time. I think he would prefer us instead to smile as we remember the good times we had together with him. The experiences and moments we shared will always be cherished memories, and Teerth made them all the better. I will miss my dear friend.

I haven’t known Dr D as long as others have, but he was someone I deeply respected and cared for. He was a person who always had a kind word, a helping hand, and a generous heart. I will greatly miss his presence.
I am so sorry sorry to hear of the passing of Teerth Dhaliwal. I had the upmost pleasure of working for him and his wife Sukhjit. He was the absolute best dentist i have ever worked for. Dr. Dhaliwal was so compassionate, caring and patient. You could really see how much he loved his wife and children. He and his wife also accepted me into their clinic and their lives. They treated me so well and helped me grow immensely while working for them. I always had their support and understanding. Those 5 years were the best experience i could have asked for. My heart breaks for his wife and children. I know his presence in this world will be hugely missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved forever. My heart goes out to you in this time of great sorrow. I’ll never forget what a great man he was.
I am so very sad to hear of the death of Dr. Dhaliwal. He was my dentist here in Calgary for many years and I had a great deal of respect for him. He was very kind and patient and I felt he gave me excellent dental care. His calm demeanor was much appreciated. May he rest in peace, and may his family be comforted by their memories of him.
