It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Christie. Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.
Born in Ontario and raised in Montgomery, Bill spent many happy years growing up in Montgomery, building a life filled with laughter, and connection. He dedicated many years of his life as a carman at CPKC, a career he approached with diligence and pride.
Bill was a man of simple pleasures. He revelled in his time at Pazzers and the Bowness Pub, where many stories were shared and laughter echoed. His faithful dog, Hope, was a constant companion; and cherished reminder of his late wife Karen.
Bill had a lifelong love for music, and he found immense happiness in the company of friends and family. His garage, a special place where he and Karen exchanged vows on Christmas Eve, was a hub of activity, filled with warmth, camaraderie, and countless happy memories.
Bill was predeceased by his father, Arthur, his mother, Margaret, his beloved wife Karen, and his brother, Don.
He is survived by his daughter Tiarra (Stephen) and his son Travis (Kelly). Bill was a proud grandfather to Brayden (Sydney), Nick (Marisa), Kennedy, Ava, and Declan, and a great-grandfather to Brooks, Sawyer, and Scottie. He also leaves behind his brother David, and his cousins Diane, Donna, and Brenda, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Pazzers Pub #1 5032 16 AVE NW,
Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans Food Bank or a charity of your choice in Bill’s memory.
